Just so everyone's aware...

Attempting to bathe a cat is about as easy as stuffing 4 ferrets in a box, one-by-one.

This attempt at levity brought to you by a very angry, damp feline who's doing his best to ignore the fact that he looks like a drowned rat.

Ours yowl when bathed. When a cat is in the tub and I'm outside, I can still clearly hear him. Siamese. Yeah. You know the little soap-tray thingy in the wall above the tub with the handle on it? They put that there so you can tie the leash to it. Then, use a shower head that has a hose and you're all set. Kevlar gauntlets are optional.

You know, it never occurred to me to try and secure him with a leash. It's hard enough coaxing him into the bathroom without tearing me up.

You didn't wear thick, elbow length gloves?

Bathing a dog is much, much easier.

It's incredibly difficult to get a good grip on a scruffed cat in thick gloves. I've tried it. It no worky for me.

Dogs CAN be easier...assuming the dog isn't terrified of water, of course. When I was a kid we had a dog that couldn't stand to be near water.
