Oh boy, there goes the neighborhood - I used to like them, I wrote: I'm afraid that this utterly disagreeable in-your-face marketing implementation was and is a seriously BAD idea. Linking the despicable and much HATED one-step from burger-flippers at the TSA with yourself is not a way to endear yourself to people or elevate your brand. But you can never tell that to a "marketing genius" (nor can you tell them much of anything, they're so wrapped-up in themselves) so I don't expect that this negative response will have much impact policywise. But I will gladly find another merchandiser from whom to buy shoes. Zappos your deleted from my bookmarks.

I've rarely bought from them. Now I'll make sure to never again.
Very poor business decision on their part, especially if news of this gains traction.

Mike - agreed.
Dirtcrashr - it really does irritate me since their customer service was fabulous. ah well, my money works elsewhere.
I liked that they could get me shoes in just a day - zoom! Down from the warehouses in Reno!
Seriously, they really were great. Apparently they're also stupid.
So... these guys are actually funding the illegal searches and child fondling by the TSA?
When you walk around without shoes and have some pervert feel up your butt crack, think Zappos!
I'm not sure that's the best use of advertising dollars.
Apparently so...whether directly or indirectly, they're funding the TSA.
And that's precisely why I've stopped shopping there.
