Well, this was one bit o'freedom we never really had a chance to exercise. Still, it's pretty crappy.
It never should have been lost anytime after the ink dried on the 2nd amendment.

Now, now, don't be Gloomy. Remember Alan Gura LOVES it when he loses in the Lower Courts. He WANTS to get these Bad Gun Laws up to the Supremes. You know he's 2-0, and each case helps set Precedence FOR the RKBA. Because here's the "Dirty Little Secret" that the Anti-Gunners haven't figured out yet.
When Alan wins in SCOTUS, that affects ALL the States.
If the Antis lose in Maryland, then they lose in New York, California, Massachusetts, et.al. And the Antis think they Win if they can get a Whole State under their Thumbs. But they KNOW they can't get all the U.S. But they never think that THEY can lose it all.
So just be patient.
Les, I'm just not an optimistic person. I wanted it over and done with, and I wanted to be able to get my permit.
Now, we must continue to wait. This is on top of the 40-60 day wait people are getting between purchasing a pistol/restricted firearm and actually being able to take them home. Gun owners in Maryland are dealing with some real lows right now.
I hope you're right, though. And if I had the cash to spare, I'd throw every spare dollar I had at the 2AF.
Well, THAT just sucks...
This country is not MD, MA., R.I., or Cal. It is pretty disheartening if you live in these states even if your moderatly conservative. The radicals of the 60's are now in power, its going to get worse before it gets bettter. The problem is its going so far left I don't see it going back to center as we knew it.

Wish I could be so optimistic Les. While MD loses in the courts the Dems in DE are fast on their way to making DE into MD.
The SCOTUS is pretty well in our favor now. We'll see what happens, but I'm optimistic about Gura (and our side's ability to get at least 5 votes).
