The MDSP have released criteria for the license to own pistols/restricted firearms in Maryland.

More info here.

I believe I've said this many times before, but I truly hate this state. This will completely affect my ability to take newbies to the range, and I abhor this infringement of my and my friends' rights.

I'm sorry that your state is doing this. I hope that right-minded people can fix things, or if not that you have an opportunity to find a better state.

I'm glad that I have the freedoms right now that many in this country have foolishly given up. I will fight to keep them.

I have you in my blog roll. I would be honored if you added me to your Gunbloggy Types list if you think Grand's View deserves it.

I could have sworn I added you. My apologies - that has been rectified.

No need for an apology. Thank you for adding! I don't post as often as I wish I could, but you are always welcome to come visit my blogs.

Grand - you're actually on my RSS feed. :)

NFO - it gets worse. Read the next post once it's up.

If there was ever any doubt that gun control is about destroying gun culture there's not anymore.

What better way to destroy our culture than to not just place barriers to the purchase of a first gun, but make it extremely difficult for even someone with a passing interest to safely handle and fire a gun.

Plus this means fewer new gun owners in MD, so they can cleverly whittle down future political opposition for the next round of restrictions, confiscation etc. that will no doubt come.
