Marylanders don't need to protect themselves.

Especially not in Baltimore, where 29 people were shot in a little under a week.

Is Baltimore. Is not safe.

At least it's not as bad as Chi-town... Sigh

True, but it's still pretty bad. At least most of the people shot in Baltimore are involved in some sort of crime.

Old NFO...we're worse than Chi-town on an annualized, per 100k basis.

The Sun article is a little behind the times, since it's more like "nearly 40" people shot in not even a 2 week span.

So, running some numbers on a city of ~620k, it's 235.49 shootings, per 100,000 on an annualized basis. Of those shootings, its left at least 15 dead (last I saw), which, is 88.31 murders per 100k (annualized).

Now, that is just spot crime, not a full year, but you get the idea. Like I said, worse than Chicago.
