Well, dangit.

I was starting to write about this moron but you guys beat me to it.

I'd like to add the inherent problems with this proposal:
Problem #1 - Chris and i really, seriously, can't think of a place (that would be affected by this proposal) IN the city where one can buy ammo.
Problem #2 - Rob&Ride goes out of the city into the county and straight to a Dick's...and ammo.
Problem #3 - bus goes out of the county to various malls...and Dick's.

Basically, this guy's plan is already a failure.  Way to go, dinglebrains!

I'd like to point out that this candidate was "In November 2006 Mayor O’Malley was elected Governor of the State of Maryland, and the City Council President, Sheila Dixon, became Mayor. She asked Rolley to co-direct her Transition Team, and after a successful transition, she asked him to join her administration as her Chief of Staff. That same year, at the age of 32, Baltimore Magazine listed Rolley as one of Baltimore’s 50 most powerful people." from wikipedia. and "On January 9, 2009, Dixon was indicted on twelve counts, including perjury, theft, and misconduct. The charges stem partly from incidents in which she allegedly misappropriated gift cards intended for the poor.[1] On December 1, 2009, the jury returned a "guilty" verdict on one misdemeanor count of fraudulent misappropriation. On January 6, 2010 Dixon announced her resignation as Mayor as part of a plea agreement, effective February 4, 2010." also from wikipedia. and my memory of events.

I love that this guy was a Baltimore City Planner. Explains a lot doesn't it?

Maryland has had 5 republicans and 14 Democratic Governors since 1900. They haven’t had any Republican mayor in Baltimore since 1967. The City Council is composed of 15 Democrats. This is the land of Barbara Mikulski, Sarbanes, Steny Hoyer and how can one forget Kweisi MFume. Why does this guy surprise you? Baltimore has always been the land of “Community Organizers”. This lame brain idea doesn’t scare me half as much as trying to get gun control accomplished through the "one world order” under the United Nations concept. My greatest fear is that this administration will get it done behind the scenes in such a manor that the public won't find out until too late.

Tomorrow morning at 5:56 a.m. I will go outside and while drinking my coffee I’ll watch the shuttle come in for a landing. A few seconds later there will be the reassuring widow rattling sonic boom. The last signal of the end to an era and yet another indicator of a nation going in the wrong directin.

So....what makes him think that the bad guys are buying ammo at a place that would pay any attention to this tax? What, they get their illegal firearms on the black market, and then waltz into Dick's well-lit and camera-surveiled (is that even a word? Hmm. It should be) environs to pick up ammo for it? Riiiiiight. So...who's getting taxed, really?
